Waris Shah was a Punjabi sufi poet who was born in Jandiala Sher Khan (present day Pakistan) in 1722. He is counted among legendry Punjabi poets other being Bulleh Shah , Shah Muhammad , Hashim Shah, Shiv Kumar Batalvi, Surjeet Patar, Baba Nazmi, Pash etc

Our endeavour is to make Waris Shah's poetry available to all Punjabis residing across continents to enjoy the love and pain expressed in his poetic compositions.
